Desc: Into the movement (Eng subtitles): Directed by Lorenzo Melegari. The occupied Artlab, a social centre in Parma. The story focuses on a group of students who occupied a building belonging to the University of Parma in 2011 which had been abandoned for 20 years. A generation of young people without future feels under attack by the financial crisis and tries to react. In 7 years of occupation, we see young people set up many projects: Italian school for foreigners, free bike repair shop, football team,creation of several cultural events.We see exciting images too:violent clashes with institutions,private companies,politicians,the police.And for the first time ever a camera come into an occupation and shoot acts against the law too. Artlab is a project of radical change of society. This is what the leader of the group asks to the collective during an assembly: and how we put ourselves forward so that we don't become a subject which immediately, when it meets the powers that be, is not assimilated by them, as often happens? September 2018 Art Lab is still alive: "and after that for us the battle goes on'.
